About

Eurocyber is an investment club built on a community of senior cybersecurity practitioners who evaluate early-stage information security companies and support the founders behind them.

Two things, kept separate

The Eurocyber consortium is an informal, invitation-only club. It has no legal identity, it is a purely virtual community. It does not invest, hold money, employ anyone, or earn revenue. What it does is bring experienced people together to share knowledge, evaluate startups, and help founders succeed.

Eurocyber Capital Partners Ltd. is a private company incorporated in Ireland that acts solely as an administrative vehicle for the consortium: for example, to negotiate terms with syndicate platforms and to provide a single point of coordination where one is needed. ECP Ltd. has no employees and no revenue. It does not invest, receives no fees, and takes no investment decisions. All costs are borne by the core team.

The core team are unpaid volunteers.

Membership

Membership and participation in our pitch days are by invitation only and free of charge. We do not accept applications to join, and we do not consider unsolicited startups. New members and prospective startups are considered only through introductions or nominations from existing consortium members.

Membership carries no cost, but is subject to simple rules:

  • Professionalism, and courtesy to fellow members, founders, and the organisations we work with (such as VCs and incubators)
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Disclosing any potential conflicts of interest
  • Taking an active interest in the club’s activities

Membership is at the discretion of the core team and may be revoked at any time. Because the consortium is not a formal organisation with legal standing, membership confers no legal rights, entitlement, or standing.

What members do

Members are encouraged to help the startups we follow succeed, whether by advising or coaching, acting as design partners, becoming customers, making customer or partner introductions, helping with hiring, and championing them publicly.

The consortium is also a valued network and knowledge-sharing resource for its members.
